So, since I am an orientation leader at my school I get to meet all of the new students first. I take full advantage of this opportunity because it enables me to spread the word about my also being a GACC Safesite and I am able to offer them free condoms and safer sex info on the spot.
At first some students are a little put off by my up-front nature on this subject, but after I explain the importance as well as my availabilty as a resource they are put at ease.
The LGBT group on campus is going to partner up with me for the upcoming orientation dates so that we can set up a table to not only address safer sex, but also equality. the more organizations that are willing to collaborate, the better!
