After years of supressing who I am, I'm finally starting to tell my friends I'm a lesbian. But that's all I can do right now. I don't know where to go or who to talk to about this. I just want to go out and meet new people, but I have no idea where. I just feel so lost. I don't think I can ever tell my parents and I don't even know how to tell my therapist because this is something I've hid from everyone.

I just don't know what to do anymore.

It's great that you've begun to tell your friends! You can tell others, and your family, when you're ready. This is all on your time line. What's most important is that you are comfortable and secure in who you are. Your sexual orientation does not define you. It is a part of you, but anyone who would reject you based only on that doesn't deserve to know the awesome person that you really are. There is nothing wrong with being a lesbian, and you have nothing shameful to hide. Be proud of who you are...the whole person that you are.
