Hi all,
I am Rosemarie Treanor and I am writing on behalf of the American University Women's Initiative HIV/AIDS Taskforce. We had a very sucessful AIDS Awareness Week the week before Thanksgiving, and we have recieved positive feedback from our fellow American University students. One student told me that she attended both of our panels (one in November and one in December) and she said that the information she has learned has helped her with a friend who was recently diagnosed with HIV back at home. I really appreciated her response, and she told me that she has been telling her friends to research the disease and to attend other HIV/AIDS events in the city. I think this is a wonderful story and is representative of the good that events such as World AIDS Day can help so many people.
