What are everyone's thoughts on Bristol Palin's new abstinence public service announcement? While it *IS* good to encourage teens to think about the potential consequences of their actions, is this the right way to go about it?
Where would she be is she wasn't famous? This is NOT the issue at hand. She could have talked about why she thinks teens should wait to have sex, she could have encouraged teens to talk to their partner and set guidelines and expectations around sex and how far to go, she could have talked about *gasp* contraception and the importance of practicing safe sex.
Bristol Palin had (and still has) an opportunity to be an intelligent and effective spokesperson against teen pregnancy, but so far she has been a disappointment.
