I have events planned all week next week, and I have so many different groups participating.
On Monday, PRIDE Alliance, Health Serivces, and I are hosting "Sex and Chocolate," an informative Q&A program that allows people to anonymously ask questions with a health services professional, dispel common myths about sex and sex health, and receive free condoms, dental dams, and candy. Last year when PRIDE hosted it, it was a lot of fun and very informative, so we decided to do it again.
On Tuesday, PRIDE Alliance is hosting a Valentine's Day Dance for queer students and allies, and will have free condoms, condom cases, dental dams, and lube up for grabs.
On Wednesday, I am personally hosting a viewing of Let's Talk About Sex on campus. If you haven't seen this documentary, do. It covers a lot of hot topic issues concerning sex ed.
On Thursday and Friday, the Women's Resource Center is hosting the Vagina Monolgues, which is always a complete and total success. I'm very proud to be able to partner with the WRC to add this event to my schedule.
I may have a few more activities come up (the Latino Student Alliance mentioned something about setting up an event, but I never heard back from them), but overall I'm very proud of what I have accomplished so far.
If you haven't organized Safer Sex Week on your campus before, I advise you start because it is a great way to get the word out there, educate folks, distribute condoms, and have fun too.
