So, let's be up front. I'm involved with PEP. We've been together for quite some time. Since the summer of 2006. That's when I joined PEP's Young Women's Leadership Council.
PEP = Pro-Choice Public Education Project.
Since that time, oh-so-long-ago, when we first became involved I have had the pleasure and privilege to present at national conferences (like SisterSong's "Let's Talk about Sex" conference), get to know communities in various places (NYC, DC, New Orleans, to name a few), develop tools for young people, sit on the Board of Directors, advise PEP on ground breaking research, and share ideas/hopes/dreams with the wonderful people who make up PEP's staff, Young Women's Leadership Council, and Board!
But why is PEP part of this "orgs that are awesome" series? Just check out the mission:

Throughout our time together, PEP and I have really been able to develop our niche in the Reproductive Justice movement. I've been able to bring my interests, skills, and experience, and PEP has offered me so much back.
At this point, I'm sure you're asking, how can I get involved? Well it's easy! PEP's Young Women's Leadership Council is recruiting!
