Last night, December 2, a program was held in my building called "Let's talk about sex baby" for the female residents. The program was hosted by the female RAs and hall director. They brought in a health professor who explained many different things to us. She discussed everything from condoms to yeast infections. She also explained what transgender means. I thought this program was very informative, and a lot of the girls seemed to be learning new information. I hope the hall will host a similar event for more than just females. I feel that everyone could benefit from learning new information like this, especially in a college setting, when many young people are at a higher risk for STIs and unplanned pregnancy.
