I thought this post would be a great thought to linger for the holidays! Racialicious, a blog that incorporates pop culture with the intersection of Race, recently posted a statement from Richard Nixon on his thought surrounding Abortion..
Dear Old Richard Nixon had a "Wonderful" view of interracial relationships....those babies are curses and should be terminated.....hmmm..that's not racist at all...

On Jan. 23, 1973, when the Supreme Court struck down laws criminalizing abortion in Roe v. Wade, President Richard M. Nixon made no public statement. But privately, newly released tapes reveal, he expressed ambivalence.
Nixon worried that greater access to abortions would foster “permissiveness,” and said that “it breaks the family.”
But he also saw a need for abortion in some cases — like interracial pregnancies, he said. “There are times when an abortion is necessary. I know that. When you have a black and a white,” he told an aide, before adding, “Or a rape.”

Well, I guess that its better then some crazy right wingers who don't think that even rape victims should be allowed to get an abortion.
PS. I was really trying hard to say that without using four-letter words, but I guess I found one that almost worked...
