In a bid to get student from different institution to sign the post card on giving HIV/AIDS Discrimination in Nigeria schools a RED CARD, I travelled to Nasarawa to mobilize young people to act on the bill that was passed and share their own opinion on what is obtainable in our institutions today based on stigma and discrimination. I cited an example of Gloria who was been denied admission from an institution because of her status and needed to get a forged result denying her status for her to gain admission to school. Gloria case wasn’t the only issue that is severe but also the case of a student in National Institutes of journalist that was asked to leave the school because of his status and was stigmatized in the society.

The YAG uses this red card campaign to get student to support the bill and to ask their senator to act on the bill that was been passed and harmonize the bill in line with young people in and around the school environment.

According to one of the student he said “Lets put a stop to stigmatization and discrimination; ask our senators to harmonize the bill on stigmatization and discrimination to young people in and around school. Over 200 young people are of the opinion that the bill is passed to bring a great change in our society and our policy makers should act on it in this administration. Let the bill be acted upon now for us to have a better society.

i think giving discrimination a red card in schools (high/ secondary schools) is something we all most join hands to.
