Its spring break time this month for us students here at Stetson University and everyone is ready for some great times. To prepare for the up and coming week long vacation the wellness interns held their annual spring break stop where condoms were yet again the hot item for giveaway, and boy did they go fast! Unlike some of the events in the past, students were not shy about grabbing the protection and preparing themselves for the week ahead. It is really great to see that students are starting to get over their stigma of grabbing condoms and are becoming more open and aware of the importance of using a barrier method against the transmission of any unwanted fluids.
We did, however, have a little disappearing act with the condom bowl in the Hollis center. It seems that some one may have been a little excited and needed the bowl and all of its contents, but no fear we replaced it. We now have a new bowl filled with condoms and we hope that the students realize that a bowl is not a proper way to protect them during sex, only what we put inside it. We will always provide you with the condoms you need!
