I'd like to give a huge fist punch to California Senator Barbara Boxer for making an awesome speech about the double standard that exists between women's and men's reproductive rights.

In the clip, she discusses how it would be unfair if a man was not able to acess certain medications or procedures regarding his reproductive health *cough Viagra cough* and how women need access to medication or other procedures.

She made this speech in response to Senator Ben Nelson introducing an amendment "that would bring Stupack language barring abortion coverage into the Senate health care bill". Thankfully this amendment didn't pass.

You go senator Boxer! I really liked this clip! And I hope that they understood that point she was making there about the double-standard about men's reproductive health. You see thats another reason why we should be developing more tools that puts less of the onus on women and let the man also have to make the efforts for contraception through male birth control as well! It shouldnt always be the burden on us and our bodies - even though that is not to say I do not want there to be more female controlled contraception and microbicides. I am just saying that it would be nice to see men taking responsibility here too and not just for stuff like viagra or enzyte!
