For Valentine’s Day 2010 I gave away suckers that said “Love Pops” with a condom attached for the GACC. I noticed that quite a few people were offended by this seemingly harmless gesture. Even after I explained what they were for and what I was trying to do some still refused to accept my gift. However, the gesture wasn’t a total failure most of the people around campus were delighted and asked if they could have more!

Some folks are just prudish...it looks like they didn't get that you were promoting the well being and health of students across your campus.

Anyway, thanks for your initiative, and keep up the great work.

Isn't calling people "prudish" just as bad as this person's peers being offended by the gesture. Different strokes, different folks (no pun intended).  I know I sure don't like broadcasting anything intimate like that about myself, maybe that's all it was with them.

 I think in this day and age with more than 25,000 young people contracting STD’s we need not to be shy or timid about the topic of Safe Sex. It seems that people are so intimidated about discussing sex that they are neglecting safe health practices as well….
