I want to take a little time to talk about TACT or Teen Age Communication Theater. TACT is a teen aged peer education group in North Dallas that is sponsored by Planned Parenthood of N. Texas. The group is comprised of high school aged students from all over Dallas who travel to schools, community centers, and places of worship to educate teens on issues that matter to them. TACT is a supporter of comprehensive sex education, and for many students the only sex education they receive. (We have poor sex education in Dallas) Members take classes on anatomy, sex ed, and even workshops on domestic abuse and other issues over the summer! Being a member of TACT is eyeopening, and creates life long friendships.
This is such an important resource in Dallas as they are doing such a good job! As an alum of TACT I was very proud to see them last month at TFN's Speak Up for Sex Ed program in Dallas!
