What can we learn from the cancellation of the prom at Constance McMillen’s Mississippi high school?
Constance rules!
This is why Congress has to pass the Student Non-Discrimination Act
Hope isn’t lost -- look how many folks stepped up to hold a non-discriminatory prom!
All of the above

Hey Everyone

This is Diana from Helping Our Teen Girls in Real Life Situations (HOTGIRLS), and I am here to share with you all about the amazing things HOTGIRLS has been doing for HIV/AIDs prevention and World AIDS Day.  We recently created a campaign " I'm Worth It! " for young teen girls to join and celebrate their self-worth and why they feel they should be respected by their peers and others.  Most speak on their intelligence, beauty, and career aspirations.  The website for this campaign is coming shortly, but please visit our homepage www.helpingourteengirls.org to learn more about it.  Another teen girl resource site by us is www.firegrl.com.

For World AIDS Day, we have started a soap opera mini-series for the community to view and learn about how to negotiate safe sex with your partner, and how to encourage them and peers to go get tested.  To see this funny, but serious mini-film, please click http://www.helpingourteengirls.org/programs/ywlc_pumpyourbrakespsa.htm

Finally, please join our fanpage on Facebook (Hotgirls Inc.)  to see our posters we created for World AIDS Day and doctor offices, health clinics, and community hang out spots to post for teen girls, on the importance of getting tested, and that it's not that scary or bad.

Thanks,
Diana
