Now Usher has come out with a new hit and you will never guess the name of the song… ok so I’ll tell you it’s "LITTLE FREAK", it also features an up and coming female rapper Nicki Minaj! When I first heard the clean version on the radio I was like ok not bad but I didn’t get to hear the whole song, so I went home and looked it up on YouTube. I listened to the uncut version and I must say it truly put a bad taste in my mouth. I totally was blown away by the lyrics in the song and how degrading they were. In the course Usher says "If you f**king with me, really f**king with me, you gon’ get some girls and bring em to me, if you f**king with me, really f**king with me, you let her put her hands in ya pants be my little freak." I was like OMG, I know this isn’t Usher talking like this. Then what makes it worse is when we get to Nicki's part. She boldly say's in her verse "Excuse me little momma but you can say I'm on duty. I'm looking for a cutie, a real big ole’ ghetto booty. I really like your kitty kat and if you let me touch her I know your not a bluffer I'll take you to go see Usher." I just couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Usher is basically and boldly saying if you want to be my girlfriend you have to go rub all over these other girls’ body. How disrespectful can that be? And, for Nicki Minaj to go along with it, how does that as young women make us look? I’ll tell you it makes us look like we are lowering our standards to be with a man who doesn’t even want us for real because if he did he wouldn’t have said "if you f**king with me, really f**king with me, you let her put her hands in ya pants be my little freak."  Come on ladies, we are way better than that. Yes it’s just a song some might say, but it’s a song that is looking at young women like a piece of meat.

I just cant wrap my head around this situation. It pains my heart to know that this 16 yr old boy from Chicago was beat to death. And it really bothers me because they caught this boy dying on tape instead of taking the phone they recorded the video with and calling the police. Not even one person thought of breaking it up. How could you stand around and watch some one get beat? What if that was your family? Would you just want someone to watch and video recored it?

Im so hurt because im an African-American and its hard to watch black on black crimes.
Gangs and gang violence is only going up in urban communities. And me myself I live in a urban communty. But im still not use to the violence. I feel as if people are starting not to care anymore in the urban communties because of the so called "NO SNITCHING CODE"! It really bothers me that someone knows the people who killed this boy but refuses to tell. Yes there are four men in police custody, but in the video you can clearly see its more than four men jumping on this one boy. When will these ever stop? When will we ever get tired of seeing young black men with so much potential die?

Its time for our urban communties to take a stand against gang violence and even the city.

Is it right for a mother to hide here daughter from the world? Is it okay for a daughter to close her mother out?

I know a person girl who has no control over her own life. She is becoming a reck because her mother refuses to let her go and explore the world. So does this make it wrong for my friend to sneak around? She is having sex and is falling into a depression. Some may think she is out of control but thats not the case. She 17 and cant even go to the movies by herself or with friends because her mother is in fear of her being like her sister. Is that right? I thought she was her own person with her own choices and mistakes.
