So last week my best friend and I were at Lenox mall. So as we were walking around my Bestfriend Ro had to use the restroom. So we proceeded downstaries now Ro and myself are both STUD's (lesbains that dress as males). We have sent the years going into the ladies restroom getting strange and akward looks. So after learning that it is more benfical to use the family I told Ro about it so. So as she walked over to the door it was locked. Then she walked over to the mall cop and asked her if she could let her in. She replied no!!!! And my response is why???? Why can't a GLBTQI youth or adult use the family restroom? Why must we have to indure the stares? Why do we have to feel like we are confusing little children who know nothing about sexuality/grender/ or gender roles? Why? Well unfortantly I couldn't ask the mall cop all those question but I did ask her why she said NO!!! And she said because ya'll are going to Hell anyway and I am not going to help you on your PATH!!!! Now that was a WOW moment!!!!

Well I am in a Sorority... and I just so happen to be the President (not because I want to be) this year. Now I am not the only homosexual that is in my Chapter but it seems as though I am the only one being tragerted for my sexuality. My advisors talk about my colthing (because I would rather wear male pants and shirts), my hair (because I would rather wear braids than curls), and my life style. But I have been able to brush all that off until the last week of school when my advisor requested me on facebook. Of course I accepted. Now I wish I hadn't. Facebook is a public space but my page is just that my page... so when i recieved an e-mail from stating that I should take down the pictures of me and my past girlfriend I was upset. She stated that this is not the picture that we would want other young ladies looking to become members of__________ ___________ ___________ to see you. Is this wrong or is it just me.

So I was listen to the radio the other day and heard something very intresting. The station stated that they hadd a candle lighting ceremony in Charleston SC. I wasn't shocked for that reason I was shocked because of the reason they had this it was as a vigil for anti- gay bullying. I was surprised because I felt that at times the SOUTH did not care about US! So I decided to go online to see if I could more information about this and I did on our local news stations website:
www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp

I think that it is helpful to know that there are others out there in my community willing to take the same just stand as I am. I am planning to have a National Day of Silence Rally on Friday, April 15, 2011 @ Benedict College in Columbia SC. The reason that I am hosting this event is because I attend an Historically Black Colleges and Unversity (HBCU) and my College tends to over the look the problems that the Homosexauls have at my school and I feel that it is time to stand up and be heard. If you have any ideas or suggests please feel free to let me know.

So I been on Downelink a lot which is a social network for LGBTQ youth and I have been getting a lot of question about how to mend a broken heart and when is it okay to start dating again. Well I feel like when being in a bad relationship is not suppose to over take you as a person. The first is getting out of that relationship... because most relationships that are bad for so long aren't getting any better. Second you should take time to be with yourself love yourself date yourself. By doing this you learn what you like dislike and what you except.  Third is when you enter a friendship or relationship don't be afaird to express yourself to that person tell them you have been hurt and you need time. Fourth work at your own pace a relationship is like a job pace yourself and you will progress.

So today I was doing my daily round to my social sites facebook myspace ect. but when I ran across DowneLink a well known web site for GLBTQ community, I saw a very intresting video it was talking about Janurary being National Drag History Month. And seeing as through I use to play a role in drag shows...I was shock that I knew nothing about this but I want to spread some awareness to everyone that this is NATIONAL DRAG HISTORY MONTH.
SO KNOW YOUR HISTORY ALL OF YOUR HISTORY...BECAUSE THERE ARE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE THAT PAVED THE WAY FOR US NOT TO HAVE BE TRAPPED IN A CLOSET.

So on Dec. 12, 2009 I went out with one of the many organizations that I am apart  to have an end of the year meet and greet at the teen center in Columbia SC. We were discussing the different topics reagraining from sex, life, and relationships. So while we were in this session they being to give a list of  "what to do and not to do" next year when we returned. The presenter came up this big notebook and being to speak so she then stated that South Carolina prohibits four things. The first of the four laws was,1. Health education classes may NOT include discussion of "alternative sexual lifestyles from heterosexual relationships." So in my mind I was like WOW do they want my little sisters and brothers to die by not teaching them the safe way to have a relationship,sex,ect.....

Me being the only homosexual presented with my organization at the time.... it hit a nerve more like a vien and I was about to explode but I contained my self and contuined to listen... but all I could think about is that South Carolina is so Shallow on gay rights.  Why wouldn't you give teens the space to learn and grow not to be narrow mind. It's the 21st century and time for a change but maybe thats just me.

What do you think...

So apparently if you want to label or self-identify yourself as a STUD you must have your membership approved by those in the STUD CLUB, and if you do not follow these rules you will be kicked out:

RULE 1: CANNOT PERM HAIR OR WEAR WEAVE

This presents it's self as a problem because your physical appearance shouldn't determine who you are on the inside, REMEBER! DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!

RULE2: YOU CANT HAVE LONG NAILS

Well I understand this rule because it prevents accidents during sexual activities like fingering but is it that serious?

RULE 3: CANT WEAR GIRL CLOTHES

WAIT A MINUTE
 aren't we GIRLS?

RULE 4: CANT BE SENSITIVE OR SHOW FEELINGS

Wow, I thought real men cried. So shouldnt studs be able to as well????
