Have you seen the series of Summers Eve ads lately? Aimed to be an empowering show of female vaginahood, these ads turned out to be a little less than that:
Some of the criticism comes from how apparently annoying Summers Eve make the female genitalia out to be but also the offense many have taken to the targeted minority ads:
Summers Eve isn’t the only marketing offender to vaginas and women alike. GOT MILK? This was a pretty good campaign right? Well some don’t think this recent round of ads are quite as clever. Apparently the California Milk Processor Board's marketing team decided to take a recent finding that drinking milk can help reduce PMS symptoms and came up with this…

Of all of the benefits that can come from drinking milk, I don’t think a campaign centered on men buying milk to relieve their PMSing girlfriends was the way to go. I don’t really know how much humor they expected to come from these ads, especially considering that when it comes to grocery consumers, women hold most buying power. Guess they didn’t see that one coming...
