Teen Pregnancy is the major problem going around the world with youths. We focus on teen mothers struggling and surviving day by day bases of being a parent or becoming parents. What we do not focus on as much is teen a fathers and how much they get involved and go through. Teen dads are a much of a big deal as a teen mom. For example, across the nation they are an estimated of 64.3 million fathers. In 1970, there were 400,000 single fathers. Since then, there have been 2.5 million single fathers. Among single parents living with their parents, 18 percent are men. Imagine the number increases everyday around the nation. Well it does and there hasn’t been as much of an adjustment for those teens’ dads out there searching for assistance. Approximately 4% of births are fathered by men under the age of 20.
What happens when you abandon your child at birth?
Well teen dads did you know that 85% of all children who show behavior disorders come from fatherless homes. Also 71% of all high school dropouts come from fatherless homes. So clearly teen dads you represent more than just another person your child knows. With you they feel protected, they have guidance, and they have someone to be there friend and look up to and trust. So stop being out of your children’s life’s and be there for them and give them the care and guidance they would need.
