I live in Kansas, and so my representatvie/senator, im actually unsure which he is righ tnow, came to talk with the public about things we have issues with.
I got to the end of the meeting and decided to suck it up and ask about congress on a national level reconsidering abstinance only education in our public schools.
He grinned, nodded his head, and said "my what an uncomfortable subject"  He said that it wasnt congresses problem, it was the parents job to talk to their kids.

All in all, i was VERY disappointed with his answer.  He came to hear my issues with what has been going on and i stated them.
If teaching is falling to parents, why not just have a nation of homeschoolers instead of public school systems?

It's great that you asked the question, but I agree, very disappointing in how he answered.

Thank you for your comment.  It was a disappointing answer. I wish there was a way to help them realize what exactly they are doing by continuing abstinence only education.  Which im not bashing, its great, but, its also not working.
