This is such a powerful video testifying to the realities of rape in the US Military. Sgt Sandra Lee says something very important- that while the staggering statistic is that 1 in 3 women in the military are raped, she was not among that statistic because she did not report it. So can you imagine how rampant the issue of rape is in the military for both men and women? This is such a sad and serious reality that clashes with the overly glorified image of the military in American culture.

Wow this was very powerful. I really hope that this group and all of us can continue to recognize the pestilence of rape in the US military and in societal at large. We need to speak up with loud and confident voices like Sgt Sandra Lee, because without people like us to voice our disastisfaction with the status qou this situation will never change.

Thanks for the reply! I totally agree. It's not only moving but also very inspiring to see strong people, especially women, stand up to injustice the way Sgt Sandra Lee did.
