I'm 18 years old girl, I hail from the eastern part of Nigeria, Igbo by tribe and also a from Anambra state in Nigeria. I just finished my secondary school education, and looking forward in getting to the university. Right now I have been dating more than ever, I don't have a problem finding guys to date but while on the date I never seem attracted to them. I can't really bring myself to touch a guy and whenever they try to touch me or even put their hand on my shoulder, it just feels strange and not exciting. I'm attracted to their personalities but we usually end up just acting like friends toward each other, mainly because I don't have a feminine personality and I have too much in common with the average guys.
Now I find myself wanting to get physically attracted to girls, like my female co-student, I touch her arm and her hair and hug her all the time. I'm able to make suggestive jokes around women. Nowadays if a guy hits on me (trying to talk to me) I think “oh what does this guy wants?" regardless of what he looks like. I just think when guys hit on me it's seems vulgar.
I really want to be physically attracted to men because I know some guys with great personalities. But it's just easier for me to be close with my female friends. Please I need help.
I know how frustrating it is to want to be attracted to men. Trust me, sometimes i feel like it would be easier. But I wouldn't be happy.
It sounds like, to me, you're bisexual, or a lesbian. Physical attraction is not the basis for a relationship, but it is a pretty big part.... Do you feel emotionally attracted to women too? I know sometimes i'm emotionally attracted to men, but I always realize it's more because I want to be friends.

I would suggest exploring your attraction to females. Take some time to think about what it is about females that attracts you, both physically and emotionally. Don't judge the way you're feeling, just take the time to feel it and understand it. You'll know what's right for you when you feel it.
