New research shows that quitting smoking improve urinary health in women and sexual health in men, surveying more than 2,000 women, ages 18 to 79, about their urinary health and smoking. The researchers found that current and former smokers 1.8 to 2.7 times more likely to urinate more regularly compared to those who never smoked. In another research researchers examined surveys taken by 178 healthy men at a VA medical center in North Carolina, and they found that those who exercised more often reported better sexual function. This information gives people a reason to exercise more and quit smoking said Dr. Anthony Y. Smith, an association spokesman.
O.k the article i just read was talking about how there was a big outbreak between women sex workers of syphilis. Researchers believe this outbreak was due to them sharing needles, Mexican and American researchers interviewed over 900 female workers in the towns of Tijuana and Ciudad Juarez, on the Mexican border. They were also tested for HIV and other STI's, the workers operate legally in the two Mexican towns which are located on big drug trafficking routes. When the results came back the women didn't have HIV but they did have syphilis, they also found that the women also used illegal drugs before or during sex. The women workers also have u.s clients who have a higher rate of drug use including injection of drugs. Its said that two-thirds of these women of these have U.S. clients putting them at risk of contracting the syphilis and other diseases. I don't agree with Steffanie A. Strathdee, associate dean for Global Health Sciences at the University of California, San Diego who said STD clinics in Tijuana and Ciudad Juarez should provide users with access to sterile syringes, and needle exchange programs should offer rapid, on-site testing for syphilis. That's just helping them with their habit, they should provide them with rehab service to help them recover. The spread of syphilis can lead to the spread to the spread of HIV, they really need to keep this under control.
Somebody asked a friend one day is it so hard to use a condom? No, its actually not. To stop what your doing and put on a condom just takes less then a minute. That's less then how long it takes to be getting tested because you think you have an sexually transmitted disease because you found a bump. It's cheaper then baby clothes, food, daycare, crib and everything else a baby needs and want. Just because your on birth control and just because he always pulls out, doesn't mean you can't get pregnant and it defiantly doesn't mean you wont get a sexually transmitted disease. So please next time you and your partner is in the mood and getting ready to get it on, think about this blog and tell him to put on a condom, or use a female condom. We need to start protecting ourselves, teen pregnancy is really going up. Thank you!!
