Youthful stage start from the primary school to secondary and tertiary institution, considering the fact that over 1million student have failed their senior secondary school certificate examination in 2011, adding to over 700 thousand from the year 2010 and over 500 thousand, deducting this huge number from the total number of youth in the country of about 2.3 million youth who are either waiting for Admission or are in school where some are also drop out due to poverty, sickness, or discrimination of persons with HIV.
My question here is, are we the leaders of tomorrow?
Are we the future?
No. because we are not being treated as the leaders of tomorrow, we are not being groomed to be the best we ought to be. They leaders of now always contemplate of the youth to a failure without giving us a chance to prove ourselves to be the best, As leaders of tomorrow we are supposed to be part of the planning and policy making, but yet we are less involved in the nation’s decision, That is because we are neither educated nor informed.
How can we be involved?
When young people being deprived of their right of education. The worst part is when you see a student is either they have less teachers or no educational materials.
We urge the goverment of Nigeria to believe in us and give us a chance to deliver a productive and improved nation.
