With every new headline about a pregnant teen celebrity, there is more rhetoric from politicians and far right activists bemoaning sexual irresponsibility and an immoral culture. But did any of them stop to ask us what we think about pregnancy?
 
Vilifying teen mothers and censoring sex education is not the answer to preventing teen pregnancy. And it insults and patronizes young people. In the United States and overseas, we don’t need a lecture. We need information about and access to sex ed, contraception and other sexual health services. So why are some politicians and activists trying to take away the tools young people need for prevention?
