
Discrimination and oppression are terrible realities of our world. Racism, sexism, homophobia, and ageism affect us all. We are all perpetrators and victims. We’d like to believe we are more open than our grandparents' generation, but discrimination isn’t a thing of the past: it is happening every day in all of our communities.
To achieve good sexual health for everyone we must work toward equal rights and access to resources. We must educate ourselves, examine our own prejudices, and call out discrimination when we see it among our peers and in the media. Our generation will not ignore conditions in the United States or around the world that compromise young people’s health and put them at risk.
