
Community Organizing
There’s only one thing more powerful than telling your representatives why a particular issue matters to you. That’s being able to tell them: “and all these people agree with me too.”
It’s easy to adapt the tactics that can be used by one individual into a group event or campaign:
· Calling your Congressperson? Set up a table on campus to have other students call their Representatives as well.
· Planning to attend a town hall meeting? Organize a group and prepare various people to speak on your issue.
· Sending an email about a piece of legislation? Make sure to post a note on Facebook so your friends can join in as well.
